Minor Pentatonic guitar scale
See the Minor Pentatonic scale on a guitar fretboard, learn its notes and degrees, and practice it in any key.
What it is
A five note minor scale: natural minor without its 2nd and 6th. The most used scale in rock and blues solos: raw and strong.
How to use it
Play it over minor chords and over dominant 7 chords in blues and rock. Bend the ♭3 slightly toward the major 3rd for a bluesy sound. Learn all five box shapes.
