Melodic Minor guitar scale
See the Melodic Minor scale on a guitar fretboard, learn its notes and degrees, and practice it in any key.
What it is
A minor scale with a natural 6th and 7th: smooth and sophisticated. In jazz it is played the same going up and down, and it is the source of other scales.
How to use it
Play it over minor chords with a major 7th (m(maj7)) and over a tonic minor chord in jazz. Its modes give the Lydian dominant and altered scales for dominant chords.
