Major Blues guitar scale
See the Major Blues scale on a guitar fretboard, learn its notes and degrees, and practice it in any key.
What it is
The major pentatonic with an added ♭3. Sweeter than the minor blues, but still bluesy: a country blues and early rock 'n' roll sound.
How to use it
Play it over major chords and dominant 7 chords in blues, country and rock 'n' roll. Slide or bend from the ♭3 to the 3rd.
