What it is
The sixth mode of melodic minor: Locrian with a natural 2nd. Less harsh than Locrian, with a half diminished sound.
How to use it
Play it over m7♭5 chords, for example in a minor ii to V to i, where its natural 9th sounds better than the flat 9th of Locrian.
